Together We Can Grow the Gift of Our Catholic Heritage

Heritage is a sacred destination to seek, find, and renew faith. Through beauty and history, we invite you to experience the peace and love of Christ and His Church. And we invite you to share this gift with others!

Heritage is revitalizing Georgia's first Catholic settlement into a vibrant district rich in history, beauty and spirituality. Located in Sharon, GA, the 200 acre property includes a beautiful retreat with brand-new cottages, two historic cemeteries and the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We have so many exciting projects planned for 2025!

A financial gift to Heritage will help:

  • Add a cross to an unmarked grave at Locust Grove Cemetery, Georgia's Oldest Catholic Cemetery (total cost $3,600 for 36 graves)
  • Sponsor clergy for "desert days" on the retreat property, to renew their relationship with Christ and His Church (total of $75,000 will sponsor 125 priests and religious for 2025)
  • Dignify the Historic Purification Cemetery with a hand forged iron fence, expansion of community gathering spaces including parking lot, and beautify entrances to the Welcome Center and church (total cost $195,000)
  • Help revitalize the interior of the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary (ca.1883), Georgia's oldest Catholic Congregation (total cost estimated at $300,000)
  • Help kick-start the Sustainable Farm Project! ($10,000)

These are all part of our 2025 budget and we cannot do this wonderful work without you! Gifts of all sizes are very much appreciated.
